Steps to Surgery
Step 1 | After you and your physician decided to have your procedure at St. Anthony's, it is important to complete a History and Physical within 30 days of your scheduled surgery date.

Step 2 | It’s also important to accurately and fully complete the
Health Assessment Form prior to your Pre-Surgical Testing appointment. This form is provided by your surgeon’s office or

Your Pre-Admissions nurse will be reviewing this with you.
Step 3 | Two days before your surgery, it is important you are available by phone so that we can confirm details regarding your arrival time and last minute start time changes.
Our team typically will try to call you between 10 am and 4 pm. Please make every effort to be available for this call.
Step 4 | On the day of your surgery:
- Take medications per instructions with a sip of water
- Wear loose fitting clothes that will be comfortable after your surgery
- Please do not bring any valuables
You must have a someone 18 or older to drive you home and to be with you for 24 hours after surgery. If this is not possible, please notify your surgeon’s office as soon as possible.
