Service Description:
St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital’s Occupational Therapy Program specializes in helping patients achieve a healthy and balanced lifestyle maximizing their skills and abilities. Our therapists work with each patient and their physician to create an customized program of education and exercise to improve one's ability to perform daily self care, leisure, play, work, and social activities.
Services Provided:
Lymphedema Therapy
Lymphedema is an accumulation of lymphatic fluid in the body’s tissues that causes swelling, most often in an arm or leg. St. Anthony’s offers certified Lymphedema therapists who can perform Complete Decongestive Therapy, the gold standard medical treatment for adults and children. Lymphedema therapy is non-invasive and incorporates four essential elements:
- Manual Lymph Drainage
- Compressive Bandaging
- Skin Care
- Therapeutic Exercise
St. Anthony’s also offers Occupational Therapy for the following conditions:
- Hip and Knee Joint Replacement
- Stroke Rehabilitation/Traumatic Brain Injury/Spinal Cord Injury
- Hand Therapy for post surgery, fracture, or injury
- Arthritis Therapy
- Wheelchair Evaluations
- Pediatric Therapy

Location of the Service:
Physical Rehabilitation is located in the northeast wing of the hospital, off of Kentucky Street. Patient parking is available at the Physical Rehabilitation entrance on Kentucky Street.
