St. Anthony’s Oasis MRI unit is the most powerful whole body Open MRI available and provides ultimate patient comfort with maximum image quality. The inside of the scanner provides a 270 degree unobstructed view which comforts patients who struggle with claustrophia. The scanner can accommodate most patients, having a weight limit of 660 pounds.

What is MRI?

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is an imaging tool used by physicians to assist in the diagnosis of many conditions.

MRI produces images of the body without the use of radiation that is associated with CT scans and X-ray procedures. MRI utilizes a magnetic field and radio waves to produce high detail images of the body.

MRI is used for all parts of the body and is used to diagnose the following conditions:

  • Brain Disorders

  • Spine Diseases

  • Knee and Shoulder Injuries

  • Liver and other Abdominal Organs

  • Tumors

  • Traumatic Injuries

  • Eye Abnormalities
