The
Pediatrics Unit provides care 24 hours per day to infants, children
and adolescents. Patients are assessed on admission and a plan of
care is developed to meet the needs of the patient and family. Other
mechanisms to determine patient needs include patient satisfaction
surveys and chart reviews. Staffing is adjusted according to volume
and acuity. At least one pediatric-trained registered nurse is on
duty in-house at all times regardless of volume.
