St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital announces new Hospital Advisory Council Members
St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce the recent appointment of eight new members to the Hospital Advisory Council for a two-year term of November 2011 to October 2013.

Scott Bloomberg, DC, is a Chiropractor in Newton. He is the Past Chair and current member of the Illinois Chiropractic Society. Scott is a member of the Newton Rotary, serving as International Relations Chair, a member of Jasper County Chamber of Commerce, and Councilman for the City of Newton for the past 12 years serving as Economic Development Chair. He and his wife Linda have been married for 25 years and have three children. They reside in Newton and are active members of St. Thomas Church.

Charles Brumleve is the Administration Manager at St. Anthony of Padua Church. Charlie is a native of Effingham County with a strong background in accounting and business administration. Living in St. Louis after graduating from the University of Illinois, he relocated to Effingham in 1977. For the past 13 years, he has served as Administration Manager of St. Anthony of Padua Church. Brumleve also serves as a Director of Crossroads Bank, as a member of Kelheim/Effingham County Student Cultural Exchange committee, and is a member of the Noon Rotary Club and the St. Anthony Parish Finance Council. He is a past chairman of the City of Effingham Plan Commission and former coach of the Khoury League and girls’ softball. He and his wife, Pat, reside in Effingham and have three grown children.

Lenora Drees, APN, CNP, is a Nurse Practitioner at Family Care Associates in Effingham. Drees has a long-standing relationship with the hospital and currently serves on the Home Care Professional Advisory Committee. She and her husband Harold have four grown children and six grandchildren and they live in Teutopolis. They reside in Teutopolis and are members of St. Francis Church, where she is active in parish activities.

Pam Hemmen is the Vice President of Technology Services & Dental Professional Relations for Patterson Companies. Hemmen currently serves as a member of St. Anthony’s Donor Relations Committee and was a campaign cabinet member of the Hope & Healing Campaign in 2008. Outside of the hospital, she has also shared her leadership abilities by serving as team chairperson for the Effingham County Relay for Life in 2002, as an education member for Vision 2020, and as a board member for Patterson Foundation. Pam is also active in her church, serving as trustee for St. Francis Church from 2003 – 2009. She and her husband Tom reside with their three children in Teutopolis.

Mike Henning is a Consultant working with family-owned businesses for direction, strategizing, and succession planning. He is a longtime member of the Effingham Chamber of Commerce. He lives with his wife Diane in Effingham. They have four grown children and 12 grandchildren. He is actively involved in St. Anthony Parish.

Mike Hewing is retired after 28 years experience as a financial advisor for Edward Jones & Company. Hewing is a member of the City of Effingham Police Pension Board; Executive Committee Member of the Wooden Shoe Development; member of the Teutopolis Welcoming Committee; former trustee on the Village of Teutopolis Board; and Past President of the Teutopolis Lions Club. He is a lifelong resident of Teutopolis. He and his wife, Beth, have six grown children and 21 grandchildren. They are members of St. Francis Church.

Stephen Hopkins is a Nursing Home Administrator at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. Stephen has been licensed Nursing Home Administrator since 1979, with over 30 years experience working with the geriatric population. He has served as Nursing Home Administrator in Effingham since 2004. He is a member of Sunrise Rotary and the Effingham Chamber of Commerce. He has one grown child and resides in Effingham.

Ken Walk is the owner of Walk Accounting. He and his wife, Linda, own and operate several companies that provide financial and investment services. A resident of Neoga, Walk has been a strong supporter of the “growing Neoga” initiative which helped to bring additional banking services to the area. As the need to bring additional medical services to Neoga grew, he worked to secure space for St. Anthony’s Diagnostic Center and provide clinic space for visiting physicians from Marshall Clinic. He has also supported the food pantry in Neoga and played an active role in several youth groups and organizations for many years. He and his wife Linda have three children and five grandchildren. They attend St. Mary’s Church in Neoga.
Other members of the Hospital Advisory Council include Chip Andes, RPh; Nanci Wood-Huels, DVM; Karl Rudert, DO; Jim Rutledge; and Carolyn Willenburg.
