Balance Clinic
Do you experience loss of balance, unsteadiness, dizziness or frequent falls?
St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital will be sponsoring a free Balance Clinic on Monday, May 18 in the Physical Rehabilitation department located off Kentucky Avenue.
A physical therapist will provide a simple 10-15 minute balance screening and fall risk assessment free of charge. Following the simple screening, the therapist will share results with each patient and provide recommendatins based on screening results. The therapist will encourage patients to schedule an appointment with their physician to discuss results and any recommendations for balance or vestibular evaluation and therapy.
Patients will also receive information on fall prevention and home safety, including information on Lifeline, the personal emergency response system available from St. Anthony's Home Care department.
Screenings are by appointment only. Appointments are availalbe between 9 a.m. to Noon and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Call 342-1243 to schedule an appointment. A physician's order and hospital registration is not required for this screening.
