Scholarship Information

St. Anthony's Scholarships for High School Seniors, Employees, and Returning Students

Under the Scholarship Program, St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital will pay 100% of in-district tuition and books to the school for the recipient to attend any of the programs identified at the schools below. (Scholarship recipients may substitute their local community college for one of the identified schools below if it falls into the in-district program.) Students must work full-time for two years in their respective career at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital following completion of program or repay the hospital all expenses paid. (Individuals participating in these programs are not eligible for any other incentives such as sign-on bonuses, relocation expenses, and interview expenses.) The scholarships are effective beginning with the Summer 2011 school year.

Requirements:

High School Scholarships:
2012 High School graduate from St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital 's service area including Effingham, Jasper, Shelby , Cumberland , Clay and Fayette Counties.

Employee Scholarships:
Employed by St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital (Full-time, Part-time, or Relief).

Returning Student Scholarships:
Reside in St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital 's service area including Effingham, Jasper, Shelby , Cumberland , Clay and Fayette Counties.

Selection Criteria:

Must maintain full-time student status
Letter of Recommendation
Acceptance into the school's program
250 - 500 word essay on "Why do I want to be in the healthcare field"
An interview with a member of the selection committee
