Daniel Woods
President & CEO
Dan currently serves as the President and CEO of St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital. As Chief Executive Officer for over 10 years, Dan has led the hospital's growth and development to a regional medical center. Prior to his arrival in Effingham, Dan served as Administrator for 40 bed and 100 bed rural community hospitals in Iowa. Earlier career leadership experience included several metropolitan Chicago hospitals.
Dan received his Master of Health Services Administration from the University of Michigan and his Bachelor of Arts degree from Blackburn College in Carlinville, Illinois.
Dan is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Over the years, Dan has volunteered for a number of health-related committees with the Illinois Hospital Association and served as a pilot participant in the Illinois Catholic Health Association’s Building a Community of Executive Leaders program. He also was a participant in the initial Effingham County Vision 2020’s Investment in Excellence program through the Pacific Institute. Locally Dan chairs the Alliance for a Healthier Effingham County and serves on the Board of Directors of the Trails Recreation Effingham County or TREC project as well as the area Chamber of Commerce, assisting with their business and economic development efforts. Dan and his wife, Angela, have 3 sons.
