Breast Care

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women.  The American Cancer Society recommends that women age 40 and older have a screening mammogram every year.  Screening mammogram offers the best chance of finding breast cancer early.  Finding breast cancer early means more treatment options and a better chance for a cure.  Early detection is the best protection.

St. Anthony’s has the latest technology to help detect cancer early.  All of our mammograms are run through a computer-aided mammography system which acts as an “image checker” to help analyze and identify possible cancerous areas for the radiologist to focus on.   In addition, for women with dense breast tissue, St. Anthony’s has a 4-channel MRI unit which offers breast imaging to detect possible breast cancer.

St. Anthony’s offers mammography in three convenient locations:

            St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital
            503 North Maple Street

            St. Anthony’s Diagnostic Center
