On February 15, St. Anthony’s hosted a continuing medical education (CME) conference for area internal medicine and family practice physicians. The conference, “Diagnosis and Treatment of Peripheral Vascular Disease,” was sponsored by Prairie Cardiovascular Consultants, Ltd. and Prairie Education and Research Cooperative. Gabor F. Matos, M.D., Prairie Cardiovascular cardiologist and Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the SIU School of Medicine in Springfield, addressed: The underlying pathophysiology and natural history of peripheral vascular disease. Recent clinical trials and treatment implications. Integration of this information into a management plan.
