| Health Assessment Process: |
For the health assessment, PRC conducted a comprehensive, three-part assessment which included telephone interviews, community health panels, and the collection of secondary data. One thousand, random telephone interviews with Effingham County residents were completed. The second part of the assessment involved community agency leaders who were asked to serve on a community health panel and provide their input as to the health of Effingham County residents. These individuals were chosen by the steering committee. Results from the telephone survey and the panel discussions, along with other statistical data, were combined to determine the health needs of Effingham County residents. |
