St. Anthony’s Bone and Joint Services combines the finest orthopaedic surgeons in the country, state-of-the-art technology, and a caring and compassionate hospital surgical team to provide advanced surgical services to patients from across the nation.
Our orthopaedic surgeons are highly skilled in the latest surgical techniques, including minimally-invasive knee replacement and hip resurfacing, along with other advanced procedures. This partnership with area physicians allows St. Anthony’s to offer a wide range of services which treat a variety of conditions ranging from arthritis, osteoporosis, and knee pain to broken bones and sports injuries.
Surgical patients at St. Anthony’s can be assured that their health is our #1 priority. Depending on the needs of the patient, pre-admission testing and pre-surgical education is provided prior to surgery.
For those patients scheduled for total joint replacement, St. Anthony’s offers the Bone & Joint Education Program which is designed to educate the patient and family about the surgical process, thus enhancing patient safety and reducing anxiety or concerns.
On the day of surgery and throughout their stay, patients receive quality care from their physician and St. Anthony’s surgical services team. St. Anthony’s 10 surgical suites combine state-of-the-art tools and talent to provide our patients with high-quality, convenient, and advanced surgical care.
During recovery, surgical patients recuperate in private, family-friendly rooms located on the hospital’s sixth floor. Each room is designed for the patients’ and families’ maximum comfort and includes wheelchair accessible bathrooms, flat-screened TVs, soft lighting, and access to our wireless internet network. The floor also includes a physical therapy area so that patients do not have to travel far to receive their therapy.
If additional recovery time is necessary, St. Anthony’s offers qualified patients the option of going to our skilled care area.
St. Anthony’s also provides Home Care to qualified patients needing to continue their physical therapy in their home after leaving the hospital. St. Anthony’s Home Care works closely with the patient’s physician to ensure that improvement continues and the patient can return to normal daily activities as soon as possible.
